How long have you been a photographer?

What inspired you to become a photographer?
I actually wanted to be a model when I was a kid so me and my sisters or friends would have our own little “photoshoots”. Now I prefer to be BEHIND the camera ;0)
What do you like the most about photography?
Creating art with people.
What do you like about baby images?
The squishiness factor! I just love a chunka, chunka, naki baby. It’s the only time you can be chubby or naked in photos and get away with it.
Are you a studio or natural light photographer?
Natural light

Who inspires you now?
Honestly, I LOVE to look at magazines and catalogues for ideas. The ads in Vogue are so chic!
When you see a picture, what is the first thing you notice?
The emotion that it evokes and the composition
What do you try to capture in your baby images?
Their sweetness or silliness
What has been your favourite moment as a photographer?
Having returning clients that I ADORE
What has been your greatest learning experience?
All the mistakes I’ve made along the road have been my best teachers
How are you different from other photographers?
I have the ability to evoke emotion in my clients to capture their true personalities. I can pose people in ways that are natural and flattering and then just be my goofy self to get real smiles
What was your childhood nickname? Does anyone still call you by it?
Kelli Belli. Let’s hope not!

Better off Dead—I’m a sucker for funny movies
What was your best vacation ever?
Honestly it was a recent workshop
Favorite TV show?
Modern Family!
What songs are on your playlist?
Ingred Michaelson, Zee Avi, and a whole mix of genres. I love all kinds of music
What’s your facebook game addiction?
Don’t have one. Don’t have time.
What is something most people would be surprised to know about you?
I can stick my entire fist in my mouth.
Any tricks for fussy babies?
The blowdryer for white noise and Cheerios for distractions
